Steven, our guide was absolutely delightful with his historical anecdotes, references and insights, delivered with a typical Scottish banter and a pinch of dark humour. While it might not feel like there's adequate time in many places (as there's a lot to do in many places), this is definitely one of those trips where you learn most of everything so you can go on more targeted adventures of your choosing in the future. The provided accommodation was wonderful and all the staff and people we met along the way were lovely. Be mindful that winter is the off season so lots of shops in town were closed and streets a little dead. So it’s a great time if you like it a little more quiet and a tour with less tourist at each of main attractions.”
